DE BEATA VITA

DE MEA VITA

I am a pedantic, married, Christian man who teaches high school English in an American public school.  I also teach English as a Second Language class on weekends.

I am interested in talking about the good life and about living well.

This is my first serious attempt to maintain a weblog.  The most difficult part so far has been defining my audience.  If you find anything interesting here, by all means say so–so I’ll know who I’m writing for.  My students?  Family?  Friends?  Colleagues?  Or–and this would be best–generally inquisitive people, who love (as do I) the game of rhetoric?

I enjoyed your article on rising gas prices and their global effect. You should continue to write articles like that. They are a good read and are also informative. It also deals with an issue many have to deal with, which makes it more appealing to read.

    Keep up the good work!

I just found your blog through a friend- and I must say I am most impressed with some of your thoughts. Especially those on teaching. I just finished my first year teaching. I do feel quite incompetent. I teach Latin (thus I am even more excited about the Latin on your page- LOVE it) to middle school kids, and history to high school kids.

    I enjoy your writing, thanks!
